HELLO THERE!

I’m Melanie and I design and make jewellery using sterling and fine silver and semi-precious stones from my workshop in South Somerset. 

My pieces are made and finished by hand, using traditional silversmithing techniques and textured using rocks, slate and tools purloined from various relatives sheds when they are not looking. The jewellery I make is only lightly polished, retaining the natural, earthy and organic look left by my texturing techniques. The stones I choose bring my jewellery closer to the elements through their natural colours and textures.  

In addition to my online shop, I also sell my work from my workshop, by appointment, and through ACEArts in Somerton, Cambridge Contemporary Craft, the Crafts Study Centre in Farnham and at the Designers Guild on the Kings Road in London, Yandles in Martock, and Magpie Contemporary Art. I also attend and a variety of artisan fairs and markets throughout the year.
